About Emerald

Emerald Giorgio was born on 11 July 1952, in Bradford, West Yorkshire in the North of England. Her childhood was that of clean living, participating in the Brownies, Girl Guides and attending Sunday school, but somehow it needed much, much more for her to access her road to God. It was the need to attend Church which prompted her, at around the age of 8, to ask her parents if she could go to Church. Whilst her parents were not a religious couple, they ensured that both their children had a good moral start in their lives. Emerald followed this through with her own children, Natalie and Timothy, and arranged for her own christening at the same time as her daughters.

Her life was a steady progression from young woman, motherhood and then successful business woman, but she was still searching for that something which was missing in her life. She decided to sell up her business and let go of her material way of life in order to pursue this yearning within. The next phase in her life was a very difficult time of people not really understanding her metamorphosis, including her family and friends, but somehow she managed to press on without being held back by old, familiar, emotional ties. She was heading for freedom of her own choices.

She moved from Yorkshire to Cornwall at the very south western tip of England, where she met Elizabeth Holman (now named Swami Aliyananda Paramahansa by Babaji himself). Beth was teaching Kriya Yoga in Penzance and Emerald attended her Kriya Yoga Circle, meeting some wonderful new friends of like mind, body and spirit. Especially important was that she was shown the way to Babaji in Nainital in the foothills of the Himalayas in India.

After a time of learning and karmic cleansing in Cornwall, Emerald set off for India by herself, full of anticipation as to what India would mean to her. First of all, she visited the ashram of Avatar Sai Baba in Bangalore in the South of India, for one week, and received a wonderful vision through meditation whilst attending darshan. Sai Baba said he would give her a new Yamana way of life, in the natural flow of nature and the All That Is, as against the man-made rules and regulations of worldly importance. He duly handed her over to Babaji for a new school of teachings, giving her back to God and God back to her.

Arriving in Nainital in May 2005, Emerald found her new guru and master. After one week, she returned again in the October for a prolonged period of learning. Her first lesson was to TRUST Babaji, in spite of the fiery words he spoke. His love was all encompassing, but it took 5 weeks before she was able to place her life in his hands, ready for the churning process via the Kriya Yoga system and the Himalayan Herbal remedies called Kaya Kalpa, which Babaji had created. This was by no means an easy process, hence her trust was paramount. It took a further 18 months before Emerald emerged, equipped with all the tools she could carry in her toolbox of self-realisation.

One particular gift Babaji gave to Emerald was to ask her to write a book called The Path, which was to be about his teachings. He told her it should be written in the style of The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran, and should be written in simple English for all to understand, especially those with the listening ears. She managed this through the help of her guide, Kahlil Gibran, in the space of time of about 2 months in 2007, and brought it back to England for publication. CLICK here for details. It was published in April 2008 and in September 2008, the sad passing of Babaji occurred.

Babaji predicted his own passing and worked hard each day, receiving crowds of Indian and Western devotees for healing, teaching and blessings. Emerald knows first-hand the sacrifices he made to ensure his messengers were prepared and ready to continue with his mission work when he eventually pass-on. His passing was timely and Emeralds period of leaning at his feet was perfectly orchestrated by the great guru and master.

Emerald now lives in the North West of England and is ready to help people fulfil their inner journeys through the teachings of Babaji, including that of the Kriya Yoga system.
